The Boy Baker is a baking blog written by a boy who loves to bake, focusing mostly on specialty vegan recipes. The baker asked me to design a logo for his brand that he could use on his blog for recognition and promotion. He wanted a logo that communicated baking with a masculine edge. Basing the main symbol off of a traditional “skull and crossbones” (this one made of bread and whisks) along with leaving the logo a stark black and white gave it a modern and unique vibe not often seen in many baking logos. The “skull’s” mustache also helped to easily convey that the baker is a boy, and added a quirky twist to the final logo.
