Topping out is a term in construction traditionally used when the last beam (or its equivalent) is placed atop a structure. For major commercial development properties their topping out ceremonies are often met with press and media. To celebrate the topping out of two of these such projects, I designed and illustrated an infographic highlighting some interesting facts and information about 121 Seaport (a new office building in Boston’s Seaport District and the only elliptical tower in Boston) and Capitol Tower (a dynamic future-proof office tower in downtown Houston). Although built by Skanska, these projects feature their own look and branding unique to them, used in all advertising and promotion respectively.
